High School graduate or equivalent required
ROLE SUMMARY Primarily responsibility is performing EKG's on inpatient and outpatients. The Technician will perform EKG's throughout the hospital and the Emergency Department (ED).
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Perform EKG's. Report critical EKG results according to policy. Monitor the data base in the Muse system. Edit unconfirmed EKG's in the Muse system. Put unconfirmed EKG's in the physician's reading box. Clean equipment in Cardiopulmonary. Order and stock supplies in Cardiopulmonary. Assist the Cardiopulmonary secretary when needed. Assists ED staff as needed.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Interpersonal Skills: good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work well with co-workers and customers.
- Strong motivational and organizational skills.
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent education and experience
- BLS and EKG interpretation class and or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within two months of hire.
- Medical experience preferred.
