Cardiac Rehab Department

This position provides sets up and operates various types of respiratory and cardiac equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis or treatment of cardiopulmonary disease and illness. Also sets up and performs Electro-encephalograms.
The successful candidate will maintain knowledge of the various methods of oxygen delivery and remain alert to and assess possible side effects to oxygen delivery; administer respiratory therapy treatments, PFT, Acapella, CPT, and IS tests and understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each; sets up, monitors, and maintains mechanical ventilators and the associated critical care duties required to such treatment, such as airway management and tracheal suctioning; document all pertinent data in the electronic medical chart following completion of all treatments and tests; maintain a thorough knowledge of all departmental forms, flow charts, logbooks and their proper usage; performs EKGs and EEGs, sends reports to physicians who requested them and files and scans reports in department according to department procedures; demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the differences in techniques and treatment modalities as performed on patients of varying ages to include neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations; follow the five medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors; and more.
This position requires a RRT certification or be eligible to take and pass within 1 year of employment. Must have licensure through the Wyoming State Board for Respiratory Care as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. Must have current BLS certification and acquire ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 1 year of hire and maintain these certifications.
