Critical Care Director

To provide clinical practice leadership for the operation of specified patient services departments within Riverton Memorial Hospital dedicated to the care of assigned patient population. To direct clinic! al practice, coordinate patient service delivery, educate and develop staff, control budget(s) and manage the work environment. To serve as a resource for interdisciplinary divisions within the hospital. Applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs. Directly accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer.
Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current RN Licensure from the State of Wyoming
Minimum 5 years' progressive leadership experience.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong interpersonal and team facilitating skills
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Is knowledgeable of the nursing process and its applications, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care as it relates to the following applicable life span of patients on the designated Unit. Sp! an of life is divided into the following four categories: Newb! orn, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adult and Geriatrics.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with administration, physicians, nursing staff, and all other customers of the hospital.
Ability to maintain high standards of professional ethics.
Preferred:
Prior operational and supervisory experience within a complex medical center preferred.
Master's Degree in a related discipline preferred.
