Lander Regional Hospital is an 89-bed facility that opened in its present location in 1983. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, is ! licensed by the state of Wyoming, and is approved for the acceptance of Medicare patients. Lander Regional Hospital features a full-time Level II Emergency Room, a Level II Nursery and a Behavioral Health Program. State-of-the-art medical equipment includes Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and a Stereo-tactic Breast Biopsy unit. Lander Regional Hospital is the first hospital in the state to be approved as a provider under the Wyoming Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.

During the winter, there's cross-country skiing on six miles of groomed trails in the South Pass area. Snowmobiling is another popular activity. The Lander/Sinks Canyon area has 70 miles of groomed trails. Lander is the site to the southern-most trailhead to the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail, which you can ride all the way into Yellowstone National Park.

The RN Position

Provides comprehensive nursing care and rehabilitation nursing staff leadership. Assesses patient needs, plans and implements patient care, and evaluates the patient's response to treatment. Manages care within the therapeutic environment and directs the delivery of nursing care by other members of the nursing and treatment team.
1. C! urrent license from the Wyoming State Board of Nursing.
2. Prefer a minimum of six months experience in acute physical rehabilitation or acceptable related training and experience is preferred.
3. Ability to meet the stresses and demands of the position.
4. Ability to communicate and comprehend accurately and effectively in English through both written and verbal correspondence.
5. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
6. Knowledge (through training) or experience in performing patient care activities for pediatric patients (age 0-17), adult patients ages (18-64), and geriatric patients (ages 65 ).
7. Satisfactory completion of in-service training for the acute rehabilitation nursing staff within one month of employment.
