Wyoming RN License
Role As a pivotal partner within the health care delivery team, the Registered Nurse will ensure the delivery of quality patient care, both! individually as well as through leadership and delegation to other team members. The GI Lab RN understands and adheres to the standards and recommended practices of applicable professional organizations. She/he constantly guards, protects, and provides the patient with advocacy during all procedures. She/he acts as mentor/instructor and speciality resource. She/he is highly motivated, specialized, and professional in responding to all situations. Education and Experience Degree in Nursing from accredited school of Nursing or successful completion of Diploma RN program is required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing is preferred. At least one year acute, hospital-based clinical care experience and/or successful completion of appropriate specialized training or residency program is required. At least one year of primary GI nursing experience is preferred. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Current Wyoming RN license is required. Current American ! Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Ca! re Providers is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 12 months of hire. Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN) is preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities for assigned Surgical Technicians and CNAs. This position may be assigned to the Charge Nurse role following appropriate training (see Leadership Duties below). When assigned as Charge Nurse, this position has supervisory responsibilities for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other clinical staff.
