The Nursing Care Educator RN is responsible for ensuring the ongoing competency of nursing staff in assigned departments. She/he spends at leas! t 50% of time at the bedside, educating nursing staff in the full range of clinical skills and competencies required by WMC to provide safe, high quality patient care with optimal outcomes. By strengthening and monitoring the skills of nurses in assigned departments, the Nursing Care Educator RN plays a pivotal role in improving patient satisfaction, nurse retention, and department outcomes measures.
Education and Experience Master’s degree in Nursing from accredited school of Nursing is required. Education focus or background is preferred. At least three years experience in acute care bedside nursing relevant to assigned departments is required.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Current Wyoming RN license is required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required.
