Job Description


As a Communication Specialist you are responsible for creating, planning, and executing on global internal tech communications activities for Business Tech. You also contribute to the development of our digitalization communications strategy and execute on the communications plan, based on the business needs.

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating communications content and stories around our tech and data capabilities suitable to different internal audiences and channels e.g., newsletters, SharePoint and events.

  • Planning, developing coordinating and executing communication activities and projects to the Digitalization communication strategy in close collaboration with the project team and colleagues in Business Tech team, the group and across the company.

  • Build a relationship to key stakeholders in the functions and be first point of contact for communication topics.

  • Training leaders in tools and processes linked to our new Communicative Leadership program.

  • Prepare impact analyses to evaluate the success of communication activities.

  • Supporting and creating a culture that encourages colleagues globally, to share insights, learnings and best practices that contribute to business results.

  • Support all communications initiatives internally and externally to create awareness and position our tech and data capabilities globally.

  • Support employee branding activities focusing on attracting talents.

  • Assuring ongoing and long-term collaboration with HR, change, strategy and communications in Group, Brands and Functions.

  • In collaboration with H&M Group Communication work on finding tech related stores, angels, and projects relevant for external communication.

  • Responsible for securing the quality and tone of voice in all material used in the communication channels.

You possess a keen understanding of societal changes and their impact on the company, allowing you to align communication strategies with evolving trends and expectations.

To be a successful Communication Specialist we also believe that you have:

  • 5+ years’ experience from delivering communications in a matrix organization on a global scale, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex communication challenges.

  • Hands-on experience in both reactive and proactive communication strategies, including crisis management. Additionally, be capable of integrating long-term critical and strategic thinking into the leadership approach, effectively influencing and inspiring others.

  • Relevant experience in the tech industry, adept at conveying ideas effectively.

  • Proven track record of advising senior leadership and are a strong writer and inventive problem-solver.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office tools, such as SharePoint, Teams Live, Yammer, etc., enhancing your ability to collaborate and streamline communication processes.

  • Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.


Additional Information


This is a full-time permanent position starting in August 2023. You will be based at our Head Office in Stockholm.
